Bread and Bones at the Champlain Valley Folk Festival
Welcome to the website for the trio "Bread and Bones" (Richard Ruane, Beth Duquette and Mitch Barron).
Our new CD, I Know Stories, is now officially out. To learn more about it click here. You can order it online, as well as Richard Ruane's earlier release, Things That Strangers Say, from CD Baby. Just click here. You can hear several songs from I Know Stories on our MySpace page, http://www.myspace.com/breadandbones.
There are a couple other places to learn about Bread and Bones and to hear our music. The Bread and Bones MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/breadandbones is a good place to check out. It is updated a bit more frequently than this page and has comments from other people. We have an electronic press kit (epk) available at Sonicbids (http://www.sonicbids.com/BreadandBones). These each include music to listen to.
Richard is the main songwriter of the group. He has been an award winner or finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival Grassy Hill New Folk Competition, the Great Waters Folk Festival Songwriter Contest, the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest (sponsored by the Songwriters Association of Washington), the Plowshares Coffeehouse Singer-Songwriter Competition and the SolarFest Songwriter Showcase.
Please visit the News section for current info. Bio will give you all the facts. Shows will tell you where we will be appearing. The Listen page has demos of recent songs (full versions) as well as samples from the Things That Strangers Say CD. And don't forget Photos to see what we look like at various places.
